A Smile's Secret

Hi Guys!!! I'm so so so SORRY for being MIA since the holidays.. I went to Taiwan during the holidays. We've got a new pup(Chihuahua) when we returned here and she needed a lot of taking care of. When school started on the 3rd, everything just piled up! (Play practices, school works, tests, deadlines, taking care of Muffin ...) I've been very busy that I could hardly use the PC to check my mails.. :(

Well, Anyways.. I made a lot of reviews while I was away and I'm just finding time to upload them into a post. :) Expect a lot of Haul pics because I went shop crazy in Taiwan!! Hehehhe :) I'll also try uploading some shots we took in Taiwan and some shots of my new pup. :D

For now, here's my haul before Christmas (that I'm only sharing with you now.. *embarrassed*) >.<

Guys I'm sorry for the On and Off posting...I've been neglecting my blog because of my hectic sched. and loads of school works... :( I'm really sorry.. I can't promise to blog regularly in the near future because exam week is just a blink away and I'm aiming to maintaining my 10th ranking place in our class.. :) Sorry guys... I was looking through blog updates and I found this on The Purple Snowflakes' Blog.

"Loose Powders and Mineral Makeup is something every one have. Often we think that the finer the powder the better, but it DOES pose a health problem for the users."

The Purple Snowflake is a Chemical Engineering Graduate and also a make-up junkie.

I was so shocked about her findings. Now I'm super thankful that I'm not a mineral-make-up user.

I've always wanted to try mineral make-up because a lot of beauty gurus, not only from blogs but also from Youtube, have claimed that Mineral make-up did them wonders. I read reviews like "They've changed my life!" and "Mineral Make-up improved my skin's condition." so I was pondering on trying out mineral make-up myself now that its the new fad.

The Purple Snowflakes' Blog entry changed my decision in an instant. Not only would I not want to use mineral make-up anymore, I would also not want to be near any mineral make-up.

"I know this because in lab I work with silica particles for column choromotography. and they make us wear masks because of the dangers of breathing in fine particles. This eventually cause a disease called silicoses which has NO CURE..."

Just reading about this made me have goose bumps.... X_x
"Titanium dioxide is often used in sunscreen SPFs in the cosmetic products, but when breathed in it pose a health hazzard for the lungs and labs have tested to have carcinogenic (cancer causing)effect."

I'm really a sucker for cool sneakers. I've already got 2 Chucks; but Chucks are already a COMMON-thing these days, so I've been wanting to stand out by owning high-cut sneaks. I got interested in high-cut sneaks ever since I saw Zoo York and Sketchers ads. in the malls.... :) and then.......with lots of persuading... I finally convinced my parents to buy me these awesome pair of shoes!!!


(It has PURPLE soles and comes with an extra neon-yellow lace)

4. The Host by Stefanie Meyer (I prefer this over the Twilight Saga)
5. The Gift by Cecilia Ahern (about having the chance to say goodbye before dying)
6. Suzanne's Diary for Nicholas (about a mother's love for her son)

In the past 16 years of living in this world, I've already read approx. 100-120 novels. The above books are the only ones that made me have cry. :))
