New Hair Cut!!!

Yey!! Atlas!! I finally had my hair cut at Park Jun's Beauty Lab. It might seem weird for me to sound so excited just for having my hair cut; but you see, I've always wanted to try a Korean Salon for a change. My mom is always the one who pays for my expenses so I hadn't really tried to change salons since I was a kid. My usual salons are either Ronnie Ragugal, Bench Fix, Reyes Hair cutters Salon, Rod Alvarez or Jessie Mendez. All of them offer a cheap price for their satisfactory services and are located at places that are convenient for us to visit so it became stuck to us to go there every time we needed a haircut or hair treatment.
After having tried all of them for who knows how many times, I still haven't found the "ONE" that I'll be able to give two thumbs up and at the same time recommend to others. For instance, last Sunday, the 4th of April, I just had my hair treated at Ronnie Rarugal. I had a hot oil treatment that specialized in letting the hair regain its lost moisture and boost its shine. We even added P200 for the hair ends treatment because my hair was very dry due to sun exposure and for having stayed in the swimming pool for approx. 2 hours and 30 mins. everyday.(I'm a swimmer and our summer training has just started.) They used Matrix Biolage hair treatment much to my delight(I heard that this product works well!), and it really did my hair wonders! My hair, dry and frizzy, became smooth, silky and manageable for 2 days. That's rights for 2 days only. I really don't blame the salon for this because I started swimming again and my hair got soaked in EAC's salty and dirty pool water(due to bad maintenance), so my hair went back to its damaged condition. I tried moisturizing it again by using L'Oreal Hair Spa Treatment almost everyday, but my hair returns back to its dryness once I go swimming again. :c
I almost gave up in trying to treat my hair, but today's experience at Park Jun's Beauty Lab gave me hope. It made me want to have beautiful hair again.
I have been persuading my mom to let me have a hair cut at Park Jun's since Aunty Shirley, a parent at my swimming family, recommended it to me and my friends. With much begging and persuations, she finally agreed to my pleas.
We made a reservation yesterday and chose Jinny, the stylist of Aunty Shirley and also the style director, as my stylist.
I reached Park Jun today at about 4pm. (An hour late for my appointment **embarassed.^..^) I filled out a form since it was my first time there, and was led to the styling area. Jinny and her assistant were very friendly. Jinny was also good at what she does, because she knew what style would suit me. I just told her that I wanted to look Korean and have bangs, and she knew right away what to do. She was amazing because she knew what bangs would look good on me even though I have a hair whorl("puyo") on my forehead-hairline. No wonder she is the style director!
Unlike other salons, Park Jun's shampooing area has comfy chairs that won't hurt your neck. The fun doesn't stop there. Its gets better and better.During the hair cutting process, my mom and I were given free iced teas. I was also happy that they didn't use those round brushes to blow-dry my hair.( I've always hated it whenever my other stylists pulled my hair back with a brush whenever they blowed dry it.) They use their fingers instead. And the result, shiny and manageable hair without "ouch". Jinny was also nice enough to teach me how to style my hair so that my natural curl would show, and my bangs would always look good. She also gave me advice on what products I should use in treating my hair. c:
The whole experience exceeded my expectations and I left the salon with a wide grin that showed my satisfaction. My mom also enjoyed the experience because she had a free hair consultation from Jinny. I'm sure to return there next time and maybe even have treatments done to my new hair. (I'll have no problem in persuading my mom to have my hair cut there next time! In fact, she even told me that she would also have her hair cut there when her hair grows a bit longer. :D)
TWO THUMBS UP FOR PARK JUN'S BEAUTY LAB!! <3
